Nicolas Hallet has over 14 years experience in the fine wine market. He started working in 2002 for Bordeaux Index (now BI Wines) in logistics before becoming wholly responsible for all their imports at the beginning of 2003. Nicolas was then promoted in 2005 to be in charge of purchasing. He led the buying of Bordeaux wines throughout the year and during en primeur and managed pricing and buying of private cellars in Europe. He left that wine merchant at the beginning of 2010 to establish Appellations

Tom Mann has been working in the wine trade since 1999 when he started working for Jeroboams in one of their retail shops. After almost 5 years culminating in running one of their flagship locations, he left for a brief spell at Fine & Rare. In 2005 he was headhunted by Bordeaux Index to work in private client sales, where he first met Nicolas. Together they ran the annual Bordeaux en primeur campaign, and he also did the buying for Rhone & Champagne. Tom left Bordeaux Index in 2009 to start LHK Fine Wines - where he worked until buying an equity share in Appellations in January 2016

Alan is responsible for all aspects of Appellations finances – dealing both with customers & suppliers, as well as the day to day running of the accounts, running our foreign currency positions, and mostly importantly, making sure our suppliers get paid quickly & efficiently! He met Nico & Tom whilst at BI Wines, and has been working for Appellations since 2015.
