Quality control
All suppliers have been informed in writing that the bottles (labels, capsules) should be in good condition. Appellations does not purchase US strip-labelled stock or stock that has been shipped back into Europe from the US or Asia. We also demand the levels in the bottles to be base of neck or higher. We do not accept wooden cases with woodworm - please be advised it is our warehouse’s policy to burn any wooden case with woodworm shipped to our warehouse. We pay a lot of attention to provenance and storage conditions and it is the duty of our supplier to make sure wine supplied is from reliable sources. We will ask our suppliers for replacements or refunds if the wine is not in acceptable condition.
Acceptance of wines
It is the customer’s obligation to inspect wines upon receipt and notify the shipping company and Appellations of any damage or shortage immediately. In the absence of notification within 72 hours of delivery / collection, any damage or shortage will be the customer’s responsibility.

Appellations Ltd will not be liable for failure to meet agreed obligations due to prevailing circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
