Made in a light, finesse style, this fluid, charming, ripe, medium-bodied 1997 exhibits smoky, black currant fruit, pleasing ripeness, and attractive levels of fruit. It should be drunk over the next 5-6 years for its undeniable easy-going personality.
Red-ruby. Pungent, somewhat floral aromas of cedary oak, red raspberry and dark chocolate; slight jammy note. Supple and easygoing in the mouth, with a liqueur-like note of red berries. An essentially slight but nicely balanced wine, showing more personality today than it did from barrel a year ago.
